Jackpota Addiction

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have suffered from severe gambling addiction for many years now I’ve tried everything from gamblers and anonymous to psychiatrist medical doctors to no avail. The only thing that works for me is being banned from the casinos. Last year, my addiction took over and I signed up mcluck casino and lost a lot of money so finally with help of family. I was able to send an email and request a ban as well as a refund which they refused the refund even though they could tell by my play and lack of large cash outs that I was an addict a blind person could see that. Fast-forward to about a week ago, and I started getting bombarded with Facebook ads for jackpota casino a new casino. I was able to ignore the first few ads, but it just kept popping up no matter if I click the X button and hide it or not. So eventually, my disease took hold and I signed up for an account and proceeded to spend thousands of dollars including my rent my utility bills and my grocery money. Once I was completely broke and unable to make any more purchases, even after I actually was way ahead at one point, but I couldn’t cash out because of my disease I couldn’t play anymore so I stopped and with the help of my son got a hold of myself and sent an email in, but after doing some research, we found out that this casino is owned by the same owners last year of. Mcluck and they should’ve known that I had a severe disease. They should’ve never let me signed up for an account because I had to go through the same verification process. I did with their other casino. I’m very embarrassed that I can’t control this and it’s hard for me to even write this, but at a point that I just need help in this company shouldn’t have accepted me as a player and took my money and then refused a refund once they knew again that they already knew that I was an addict from last year when they refused again a refund. Any help you can do I would appreciate. I already contacted them through support and they would not help and I don’t really want to file a complaint with my state Attorney General’s office because I don’t want to take away the right for non-addicted players to play at a sweepstakes casino, but a lot of states are cracking down on this, including our neighboring state Kentucky. And I’m sure it’ll just take a few complaints to the AG office for them to put some type of ban in place. I don’t want to happen. I just want to do the right thing. I have all the emails and everything I can send you I don’t know how to insert them as a URL though on my phone I can gladly send them in upon request. Thanks so much for your assistance and compassion.

Hi Michael sorry to read your story and hear of your addiction and struggles, in terms of the casinos in question they are visually similar but they are, separate owners, with Jackpota operating almost like what I would call a "white label" that looks similar in terms of style and design and games of Mcluck but that is where the similarities end, so there would not be a blanket ban across both sites.

So in this regard being banned at McLuck and being flagged in their system as a problem gambler is not info that would be freely shared with Jackpota.

It is not an ideal situation and I wish there was a cover-all solution for every method of gambling but there simply isn't a fully effective "problem gamer" system in place to cover every method and device.

Things like Gamban may get there eventually but aren't effective enough right now still.
